Training and development

We believe that by providing our operational staff with the skills and knowledge to complete their roles, our clients will benefit through the provision of the best possible care.

One of our key aims is to ensure that we have motivated, happy and skilled staff who demonstrate a sense of pride in their work and who are willing to go that extra mile for our clients and their families.

Our comprehensive mandatory in-house training programme is provided by training experts and includes the following programmes:-

In-house and qualified clinical training experts also provide our healthcare assistants with mandatory clinical competency sessions which are aligned both to national guidance and our clients individualised care plan.

The on-going clinical competency of our healthcare assistants is supported, reviewed and approved by our local clinical managers (nurses) who are dedicated to supporting paediatric or adult clients.

Once our staff have received their compulsory training they are gradually introduced to our clients to continue their training by shadowing our nurse managers in the client’s home or in hospital prior to their discharge. Our approach to deploying staff ensures that our clinical managers always have dedicated time to adequately assess the skills and competencies of our healthcare assistants.
